Sarah’s Oil tells the inspiring true story of Sarah Rector, a young African American girl born in Oklahoma in the early 1900s. She inherited oil-rich land and faced challenges from those seeking to exploit her wealth. The film depicts her fight to maintain control of her fortune and her eventual rise to becoming one of the country’s first female African American millionaires by the age of 11.
