New Health Clinic Launches in Panorama City

A new community health clinic offering medical and dental services to low-income and formerly unhoused residents opened on Wednesday in Panorama City. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Rep. Luz Rivas, D-Arleta, and other local leaders.

Location and Services Offered

The satellite clinic, operated by the San Fernando Community Health Center, is located within the Corazón del Valle development. This 180-unit affordable housing complex integrates supportive services with housing.

Comprehensive Care for the Community

The clinic will provide a range of services, including primary and pediatric care, dental services, and treatment for chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. Services will be available not only to residents of the Corazón del Valle complex but also to individuals in the surrounding community.

Funding and Support

Rep. Rivas secured $2 million in state funding for the project in 2022 while serving in the California Assembly. “I’m excited to be welcoming the San Fernando Community Health Center to Panorama City where it will help play a key role in providing quality medical and dental care to those facing housing and economic instability in our community,” Rivas said in a statement.

Facility Details and Access

The clinic features two medical exam rooms and two dental treatment rooms. It is designed to expand access to care for patients regardless of their income or insurance status. Appointments are encouraged, but limited walk-in visits are available.

A Holistic Approach to Health

Leaders emphasized that the project represents a broader effort to connect healthcare access with stable housing. This collaboration brings together nonprofit, community, and industry partners.

“When our patients are empowered to take charge of their own health, it strengthens the well-being of the entire community,” said Audrey Simons, CEO of the San Fernando Community Health Center. The facility is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 14533 Lanark St.
