Wisconsin Woman Charged in Daughter's Death
Tyiece Oninski, a resident of southern Wisconsin, has been charged with the murder of her 14-year-old daughter, Kuren Rein. The alleged crime took place in a home in Rock County earlier this month.
Details of the Incident
On March 20th, Oninski contacted the Rock County Communications Center’s non-emergency line, stating she had “murdered” her daughter the night before and had attempted suicide. According to the criminal complaint, she reportedly told dispatchers, “She’s dead, honey. She needs a hearse.”
Discovery at the Scene
Responding officers discovered Kuren Rein’s body with multiple stab wounds. A knife and sheath were found near the body. Oninski herself sustained injuries, including a deep cut on her neck, cuts on her wrists and cheek, and a bloodstained foot.
Alleged Motive
Tyiece Oninski allegedly stated that she killed her daughter to protect her from Elon Musk, the billionaire businessman. She identified Musk as the person she believed posed a threat to Kuren Rein.
Behavior Following the Incident
While hospitalized, Oninski reportedly “enthusiastically asked a deputy if her name was in the news” and expressed disappointment when she learned it wasn’t. This detail is included in the court documents related to the case.
Legal Proceedings
During a court appearance on Monday, Oninski’s bond was set at $1 million. Her next court date is scheduled for April 14th. The case remains under investigation.
