The Apothecary Diaries Prepares for Season 3

The Apothecary Diaries is set to return with its third season in October 2026 as part of the Fall lineup. Before the anime’s premiere, a special “Summer Garden Party” event will be held for fans.

Summer Garden Party Event Details

Event Date and Location

Confirmed in August of last year, the Summer Garden Party is scheduled for August 15th, 2026, at the Pacifico Yokohama National Hall. Maomao and Jinshi’s voice actors will be in attendance.

Additional voice actor participation is expected, though names have not yet been released. The event will feature two performances: one in the afternoon and another in the evening.

Blu-ray Release and Ticket Priority

The fourth Blu-ray volume of the anime will be released on October 15th, 2025. This release will include a ticket priority sales application for the Summer Garden Party.

Season 3 Storyline and Release Schedule

The story of The Apothecary Diaries saw the conclusion of the Shi Clan’s rebellion in Season 2, revealing an elaborate plan involving Suirei’s crimes and Loulan’s position. Following these events, Jinshi can no longer work in the Rear Palace and now focuses on his royal duties.

Maomao has returned to the Verdigris House as an apothecary. Despite being physically separated, the duo will continue to collaborate and investigate mysteries within the kingdom.

New Setting and Two-Cour Release

The upcoming season will take place in the Northern farming villages, where mysterious events are unfolding. The third season will be divided into two cours, with the second cour airing in Spring 2027 after a winter break.

Additional Content: Film Announcement

An original film based on The Apothecary Diaries, with a story penned by author Natsu Hyuga, has also been announced. The film is currently slated for release in Japanese theaters in December of this year, with international release dates to be announced later.

New Character Visual

A new visual has been released featuring Maomao and Jinshi at the center, surrounded by other characters, all dressed in light-colored summer attire to promote the upcoming event.
