Wacoal to Acquire Glamorise Foundations

Wacoal International Corp., the parent company of Wacoal America Inc., has reached an agreement to acquire all outstanding shares of Glamorise Foundations Inc., a New York-based women’s innerwear company focused on e-commerce. This acquisition aims to bolster Wacoal’s presence in the U.S. market and enhance its direct-to-consumer (DTC) capabilities.

Expanding Size-Inclusive Offerings

Wacoal, a leading intimates brand established in Japan in 1949 and launched in America in 1985, is renowned for its focus on fit, technical innovation, and high-quality materials. The acquisition of Glamorise will strengthen Wacoal’s product development in larger band and cup sizes. Glamorise has a 105-year legacy of size inclusivity, offering band sizes from 30 to 58 and cup sizes B through K.

Strengthening E-commerce and DTC Channels

Glamorise brings significant expertise in digital marketing and proprietary e-commerce operations. By integrating these capabilities, Wacoal intends to accelerate customer base expansion and increase brand awareness. This will contribute to further growth and profitability for the combined entity.
