Fatal Incident at Arlington Venue Identified

Authorities have released the identity of the 32-year-old man who succumbed to injuries following a violent incident at an Arlington event venue early Sunday morning. The event involved a physical fight that tragically escalated into a shooting.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office confirmed that the deceased individual was Karri Viswanath. Mr. Viswanath passed away at 4:43 a.m. while receiving treatment in the emergency room at Medical City Arlington.

Police Response and Initial Findings

Arlington police officers were dispatched to the location, situated in the 1200 block of California Lane, after receiving reports of a shooting around 4:29 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered numerous spent bullet casings scattered in front of the establishment.

According to initial witness accounts provided to officials, a physical altercation had broken out among individuals present. During this fight, an unknown person discharged several rounds from a firearm.

Hospital Notification and Ongoing Investigation

Medical City Arlington staff subsequently notified responding officers that they were treating a patient, later identified as Viswanath, for a serious gunshot wound in their emergency department.
