Great Texas Airshow Returns to San Antonio
The Great Texas Airshow will take place at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph on May 2nd and 3rd, offering a spectacular aerial display for the public. This year’s event will feature performances by the renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Golden Knights.
Event Details and Schedule
The airshow’s theme, “Let Freedom Roar; Honoring 250 Years,” celebrates a significant milestone. The show officially begins at 11 a.m. each day, with the Thunderbirds scheduled to perform at 3 p.m., according to their official website.
Featured Performers: Thunderbirds and Golden Knights
The Thunderbirds, officially known as the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, will showcase precision aerial maneuvers in their F-16 fighter jets. Their performance lasts a little over an hour. The Golden Knights, the U.S. Army Parachute Team, are celebrated for their daring skydiving stunts, a tradition they’ve maintained since 1961.
Admission and Important Information
Admission to the Great Texas Airshow is free for all ages. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for comfortable seating at JBSA-Randolph. Hearing protection is strongly recommended for both adults and children.
Prohibited Items
