Spring Valley Shooting Investigation Underway
The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting that wounded two juveniles. The incident occurred in the courtyard of an apartment complex in Spring Valley on September 21st.
Details of the Shooting
Shortly before 1:30 a.m. on September 21st, someone fired a 9mm handgun into a crowded courtyard at a residential complex located on Canyon Road, north of Harness Street. Detective Donald Frank stated that the suspect fired approximately four shots.
Injuries and Property Damage
Two juveniles sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting. A bullet also entered a nearby apartment, striking a couch. Fortunately, no one inside the apartment was injured.
Suspect Description and Evidence
Investigators have released an image of the suspect captured by a surveillance camera. The suspect was seen wearing dark pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and white sneakers. The Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking information leading to the suspect’s identification.
