Netflix's live-action adaptation of the popular webnovel, Solo Leveling, has received an update that hints at a possible release window for the series. Netflix initially announced plans for this live-action take on the hit property in July 2025.

Filming Schedule Leaks Suggest 2026 Production Start

A reliable source, known as leaker @ggonigone, recently shared information regarding the production status of the live-action series. This update has subsequently led to speculation about when the show might premiere for audiences.

Potential Structure and Timeline

The leaker suggested that the adaptation might be structured into seven distinct parts or episodes. Furthermore, filming for the series could potentially commence in early May 2026.

If this timeline holds, production is estimated to last approximately three to four months. It is important to note that Netflix has not yet officially confirmed these details regarding the filming schedule.

Confirmed Cast and Directorial Team

While the release date remains speculative, Netflix has confirmed key members of the cast for the live-action adaptation. South Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok is set to star in the leading role of E-rank hunter Sung Jinwoo.

He will be joined by actress Han So-hee, also from South Korea. Rumors suggest that Han So-hee will portray Cha Hae-in, who is known as the sole female S-rank hunter in the narrative.

Creative Leadership

The series will be helmed by directors Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo. Both directors have a notable history, having worked on successful projects such as Castaway on the Moon, Like a Virgin, and My Dictator.
