Shakira Announces New US Concert Dates
Global pop superstar Shakira has announced a series of limited-date concerts in the United States as part of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.” These shows will offer fans a more intimate experience with the artist.
Expanding the Tour Across North America
The new dates kick off on Saturday, June 13th, with a return to Los Angeles, this time at the Intuit Dome. Shakira will also revisit cities like Atlanta and Miami, and make her tour debut in Palm Desert, Baltimore, Boston, Newark, Brooklyn, Belmont Park, and Atlantic City.
Tour Coincides with FIFA World Cup
The tour schedule is strategically aligned with the FIFA World Cup, with performances taking place in various host cities. This allows fans to combine their love of music and soccer.
Global Expansion Continues
Beyond the newly announced US dates, Shakira will continue the global expansion of her 2026 tour. A previously announced performance is scheduled for May 2nd in Rio de Janeiro, on the iconic Copacabana Beach.
New Residency in Madrid
Shakira will also be taking up a residency in Madrid, Spain, at the specially constructed Estadio Shakira. Designed by BIG, the temporary venue will accommodate over 50,000 fans per night, offering exceptional visibility and acoustics. The residency began with three dates and quickly expanded to 11 shows in September and October.
Record-Breaking Success
More than half a million tickets have already been sold for the Madrid residency. This announcement follows a historic run in Mexico, where Shakira performed for approximately 400,000 fans at a free concert in Mexico City’s Zócalo on March 1st – the largest crowd ever recorded in the city’s main public square, according to authorities.
Previous Tour Achievements
Prior to the Mexico leg, Shakira completed a record-breaking 13 concerts at the GNP Seguros Stadium, becoming the artist with the most performances at the venue on a single tour and selling over 80,000 tickets. She has also been nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
A Record-Breaking Tour
Currently, Shakira’s tour is breaking records worldwide, earning a Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour of all time for a Latin artist, with $421.6 million in revenue and 3.3 million tickets sold across 86 concerts. The Latin American leg began in February, and the North American phase started on May 13th in Charlotte.
