The highly anticipated teaser trailer for Apple TV+'s new thriller series, Cape Fear, has officially been released. This project brings together cinematic heavyweights Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg as executive producers for the remake of the classic 1991 film.

The psychological drama is set to debut on the streaming platform on June 5, starting with the first two episodes. Following the premiere, new installments of the series will arrive every Friday.

The weekly release schedule will continue until the season concludes on July 31, 2026, exclusively on Apple TV+.

Synopsis: A Family Under Siege

The official synopsis outlines a terrifying scenario for the central characters. The series focuses on the happily married attorneys, Anna and Tom Bowden, whose peaceful existence is shattered.

Their world collapses when Max Cady, a notorious killer they were instrumental in imprisoning, is released from custody. Cady returns with a singular focus: vengeance against the couple.

The narrative centers on the Bowden family, which includes two teenage children, as they confront the repercussions of their past actions. They must fight to protect themselves from an enemy determined to terrorize their lives.

The Cape Fear series is rooted in established literary material. It is an adaptation based on John D. MacDonald’s 1957 suspense thriller novel, The Executioners.

Nick Antosca serves as the showrunner and an executive producer for the series. He shares executive producer duties with both Scorsese and Spielberg.

The production involves several key figures. Alex Hedlund produces for Eat The Cat, alongside Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey representing Amblin Television.
