Spanish international Dani Olmo has reportedly attracted unexpected transfer interest from Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah. However, sources suggest the playmaker is currently content and has no immediate plans to depart his boyhood team.

Dani Olmo's career path recently completed a circle when he rejoined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2024. He was initially developed in the club's prestigious La Masia academy before moving to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia at age 16.

Olmo later utilized Bundesliga side RB Leipzig as a platform to ascend to an elite European club, a move that coincided with the beginning of Hansi Flick's tenure at Barcelona. Despite financial constraints, the Catalan giants secured the former academy star for a reported fee of $69.1 million.

Productivity and Recent Setbacks

Since his return, Olmo has demonstrated productive performances when available. However, his time at the club has been hampered by multiple injuries, preventing him from consistently building momentum this season.

Under Hansi Flick, Fermín López is currently favored in the number 10 role. Furthermore, Barcelona has recently welcomed Gavi back following another significant injury layoff.

Al Qadsiah's Growing Ambitions in Saudi Arabia

Al Qadsiah, while not one of the four leading Saudi clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund, is state-owned, having been taken over by Saudi Aramco in June 2023. This backing has fueled significant spending in the transfer market.

The club has already attracted high-profile names, including Nacho Fernández, Otávio, and Mateo Retegui. Retegui joined last summer for $74.9 million after being the top scorer in Serie A during the 2024–25 campaign.
