Ryan Seacrest has addressed recent online rumors claiming he is actively using the dating app Tinder. The Wheel of Fortune host set the record straight during a segment on his radio show, “On Air with Ryan Seacrest.”

Rumors Originate from 'Wheel of Fortune'

The confusion began during a recent “Love is in the Air” themed episode of Wheel of Fortune. Seacrest jokingly remarked about being the only single person on set, stating, “I am so lonely up here.” He then added, “I’ll be on Tinder tonight so I can find it.”

Online Headlines Misinterpret Joke

Co-host Tanya Rad Yadegar brought the rumors to Seacrest’s attention, noting that the story was “all over the internet.” She then read headlines such as “Ryan Seacrest admits he’s lonely as he interrupts ‘Wheel of Fortune’ with Tinder update.”

Seacrest quickly clarified the situation, stating, “I mean, that’s not what happened at all.” He emphasized, “No, I’m not on Tinder. Why is everybody-- people keep asking if I’m on Tinder?”

Previous Comments on Finding Love

Despite not currently being on any dating apps, Seacrest has previously expressed openness to finding a partner. In a 2017 appearance on “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” he shared that he liked “the idea of marriage.”
