A large fire broke out at a building in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood Monday morning around 8 a.m., prompting first responders to ask the public to aVoid the area. According to Boston Police, the fire at a building Warren and Dudley streets quickly escalated. When firefighters arrived, they could see visible smoke coming from the building. Companies arrived to 72 Warren St with smoke showing. Very quickly it has climbed to 5 alarms with all work being conducted from the exterior. Boston police are advising commuters to avoid the area of Warren and Dudley streets due to traffic disruptions and to seek alternate routes.The Boston Fire Department says firefighters have the entire block covered with fire engines pumping and supplying water to the trucks with ladders. As of 10:30 a.m., firefighters were still keeping water on the building and pulling water from as far as 2 blocks away,according to the Boston Fire Department.All fire companies are still working hard to keep water on the building . Engines are pulling water from as far as Moreland St, 2 blocks away. please avoid Nubian Sq. area. Thousands of feet of feeder CC has most side streets blocked.
