Roseanne Barr Discusses Heart Condition
Roseanne Barr, 73, revealed on the Thursday, March 26th episode of her “Roseanne Barr Podcast” that a doctor informed her she has a damaged heart. She expressed frustration with the medical advice she received, stating a need to seek a second opinion.
Preference for Hospice Care
Barr indicated she is hesitant to undergo surgery and would prefer to spend her final days in hospice care. “I would rather not get ready for any sort of surgery ever again in my life and just get a heart attack or a stroke and just be put into a home,” she stated. She described hospice as a desirable option, noting the comfort and pain management it provides.
Recent Injuries and Texas Life
The actress also discussed recent injuries sustained while living in Texas. In June 2025, Barr shared details of an incident involving a tractor and a falling tree branch. “I had this one tree… I knocked it and a great big old branch fell right on my head and trapped me in my tractor,” she explained, noting the branch weighed approximately 100 pounds.
Reflections on 'Roseanne' and 'The Conners'

Show Cancellation and Aftermath
The revival of Roseanne was canceled by ABC in 2018 following a controversial tweet by Barr. The show was subsequently retooled as The Conners, featuring the remaining cast members, and ran for seven seasons until 2025.
Current Relationships with Former Co-stars
Barr stated she is no longer in contact with her former co-stars from both Roseanne and The Conners. While expressing fond memories of working with them, she also voiced criticism regarding the circumstances surrounding the show’s cancellation, attributing it to “greed and ridiculous stupidity.”
