Congressman Demands Federal Investigation into High-Profile Disappearances
Representative Eric Burlison, a Republican from Missouri, has escalated concerns over the unexplained disappearances of military personnel and scientists connected to advanced research projects. Burlison stated that the situation is "deeply concerning" and has formally requested the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to intervene in these ongoing cases.
The Congressman highlighted the unusual nature of these events, noting the missing individuals often have ties to sensitive government work. "The disappearance of multiple scientists and military personnel with ties to advanced research is deeply concerning," Burlison asserted. He confirmed, "I’ve already requested FBI involvement, and we will keep pressing for answers."
The Case of General McCasland and Engineer Monica Reza
One focal point of the concern is the vanishing of a retired general, identified as General McCasland. Burlison noted the strange circumstances surrounding his departure. "It’s remarkable that General McCasland apparently walked out of his home, left all of his devices and never came back," Burlison told Fox News.
Another concerning case involves aerospace engineer Monica Reza, who vanished months prior while hiking. Reza had previously been involved in a government-funded rocket materials project overseen by McCasland. Burlison added, "And Monica Reza, she was on a hike as well and mysteriously disappeared. And I’ve heard of others…"
Involvement in Other Suspicious Deaths
Representative Burlison also mentioned outreach regarding a separate, suspicious death. He confirmed that a letter was already sent to the FBI concerning the apparent suicide of another individual who had collaborated with whistleblowers. This colleague had reportedly come forward with information before their mysterious death.
The Congressman indicated further action is planned. "So these are other things that we’ll probably be reaching out to the FBI to see if they have anything going on on these and if not, then we’re going to ask them to do that." These incidents have fueled speculation, particularly concerning unidentified flying objects, which is linked to the retired general’s research background.
Challenges in Search Efforts
The search for missing persons in the region, specifically the Sandia Mountain foothills, presents significant logistical hurdles. A statement regarding the difficulty of locating individuals in the area noted the challenging terrain.
An official commented on the search difficulties, stating, "It's a needle in a haystack finding an individual in the Sandia Mountain foothills." The terrain makes traditional search methods ineffective. "It’s impossible for a learned and astute outdoorsman to be found quickly because it’s so difficult, the terrain, and you can't do a grid search."
