Philadelphia’s music calendar is packed this week with a diverse array of artists, from rock legends to rising stars. Highlights include performances by Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Hayley Williams of Paramore, and Nickel Creek’s Chris Thile.
Headlining Acts Take the Stage
Robert Plant will be performing at The Met, while Hayley Williams is set for two shows at Franklin Music Hall. Chris Thile will showcase his solo work at the Keswick Theatre on Thursday, November 21st at 8 p.m.
Local Heroes Shine
Philly’s own Nothing, a prominent shoegaze band, will be playing a hometown show at Union Transfer on November 21st at 8 p.m. The Dominic Palermo-fronted band was described by Pitchfork as “heavily tattooed Philly dirtbags.”
Diverse Performances Across the City
The week also features a variety of other exciting performances. Thievery Corporation, known for their blend of electronic, bossa nova, and jazz, will perform two shows at City Winery on November 18th at 5 and 8:30 p.m.
Unique Collaborations and Events
On Thursday, Niño will perform at Solar Myth with special guest Saul Williams, a renowned rapper, poet, and actor. Earlier that day, at 12:30 p.m., a performance will take place at the Fabric Workshop, featuring a drummer and saxophonist in conjunction with the “Moki Cherry the Living Temple” exhibit.

Singer-guitarist Joe Pernice will be celebrating his new album with a performance at Free at Noon on November 22nd. Glen Hansard and Margaret Glaspy will share the stage at the First Unitarian Church. Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band and Jonathan Butler will also be performing. Old 97’s will be bringing their alt-country sound to town, and Warren Ellis will be performing with a new band featuring Suzi Dian.
Lansdowne Theater Welcomes a Legend
Graham Nash, a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will be performing at the newly renovated Lansdowne Theater on November 21st at 8 p.m. Philadelphia native Zach Djanikian is a key member of his band.
