The event took place shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday, March 30. The location was identified as the Ocean Bay Apartments, situated at 4-14 Beach 58th Street in the Rockaways section of Queens.
Officer Response and Observation
When responding officers reached the apartment, they witnessed the pit bull actively biting a 28-year-old woman on the arm. The officers discharged their weapons, resulting in the death of the animal at the scene.
