Deadly Overnight Violence in New York City

The New York Police Department is investigating two separate shooting incidents that resulted in the deaths of three individuals in Manhattan and Queens. The shootings occurred during the overnight hours, prompting investigations into the circumstances surrounding each case.

Possible Murder-Suicide in Jackson Heights, Queens

Detectives are investigating a potential murder-suicide that took place at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1st, inside an apartment located at 33-51 84th St. in Jackson Heights, Queens. Officers responded to a 911 call reporting multiple people shot at the location.

Details of the Queens Shooting

Upon arrival, police discovered an 18-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, torso, and abdomen. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel were already on the scene and pronounced both victims dead.

According to police sources, the victims were in a relationship and resided together at the address. The cause of the dispute leading to the tragic event remains unclear at this time.

Fatal Shooting in Manhattan

A 36-year-old man was fatally shot in front of 111 West 110th St. in Manhattan just before 10:30 p.m. on March 31st. Officers from the NYPD and EMS responded to the scene.

Manhattan Victim's Condition and Pronouncement

EMS personnel transported the critically injured man to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police are currently withholding the names of all victims pending notification of their families.
