Jamal Murray delivered a stellar performance, scoring 37 points with 10 three-pointers, to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 130-117 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City. The Nuggets secured their seventh consecutive win with a dominant display of offensive basketball.

Jokic Records Fifth Triple-Double in Six Games

Nikola Jokic contributed a significant all-around performance, recording 17 rebounds, 15 points, and 12 assists. This marked his fifth triple-double in the last six games, showcasing his consistent impact on the Nuggets’ success. Cam Johnson added 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Christian Braun chipped in with 18 points and 6 rebounds.

Sensabaugh Leads Jazz in Loss

Brice Sensabaugh led the Jazz with 28 points and 6 rebounds, including six three-pointers. Kyle Filipowski followed with 25 points and 12 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to prevent Utah from suffering their seventh straight defeat and falling to 3-19 in their last 22 games. Kennedy Chandler contributed 16 points and 6 assists off the bench.

Nuggets Jump to Early Lead

Murray ignited the Nuggets’ offense early, hitting three-pointers on their first three possessions. This helped Denver open with a 12-0 run and quickly establish a 17-3 lead. Denver’s early success was fueled by long-range shooting, with their first six field goals coming from beyond the arc.

Murray's Half-Court Buzzer-Beater

Murray continued his hot streak throughout the first quarter, finishing with five three-pointers. He capped off the quarter with a spectacular half-court heave at the buzzer, extending Denver’s lead to 39-28.

Jazz Attempt Comeback, Nuggets Respond

Utah managed to close the gap to 30-27 late in the first quarter with baskets from Sensabaugh and Filipowski. However, the Nuggets quickly responded with a 15-2 run that extended into the second quarter, pushing their lead to 45-29.

The Jazz trailed by as many as 18 points before briefly cutting the deficit to 101-97 in the fourth quarter. Murray and Braun then answered with consecutive baskets, sparking another 15-2 run that sealed the victory for Denver.

The Nuggets will next host the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. The Jazz will continue their road trip, playing at Houston on Friday.
