Teenager Killed in Fight Near Milpitas High School
A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed during a brawl involving a group of teenagers near Milpitas High School on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred in the 240 block of Vienna Drive, according to the Milpitas Police Department.
Details of the Incident
Police responded to multiple reports of a fight at approximately 3:50 p.m. Witnesses reported that around ten teenagers, dressed in black, were involved in a chaotic altercation. A teacher passing by attempted to intervene and break up the fight before officers arrived.
Injuries and Medical Response
The 17-year-old victim was discovered at the scene with apparent stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A 16-year-old girl also received treatment at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the fight.
Suspect in Custody
A 17-year-old boy was identified as the suspect in the stabbing. He remained at the scene and was taken into custody by police without incident.
Charges Filed
The suspect has been booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on charges of homicide and assault with a deadly weapon. Authorities have not released the names of either the victim or the suspect due to their ages.
