The rapper began feeling unwell during the show and left the stage mid-performance. An understudy stepped in to continue the performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre while officials addressed the audience and asked them to remain seated.
Rapper Details Exhaustion in Instagram Post
Megan Thee Stallion shared her experience on Instagram, stating, “Last night was a real wake-up call for me.” She explained she had been “pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me.”
Medical Diagnosis and Recovery
According to her spokesperson, medical professionals identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. She has since been discharged and is resting.
Temporary Hiatus from Performances
Megan Thee Stallion will take Wednesday’s matinee and evening performances off to rest and recuperate. She assured fans, “I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve.”
Historic Broadway Role
Megan recently made her Broadway debut in ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’ as Harold Zidler, becoming the first woman to play the role. Previous performers include Boy George, Wayne Brady, Tituss Burgess, and Bob the Drag Queen. Her performances include renditions of her hit songs “Savage” and “Body.”
