A woman, identified by authorities as a stalking suspect, threw an unknown substance at Buckingham when he entered the building. The suspect then fled the scene. Police are currently investigating the attack and anticipate making an arrest soon.

Suspect Known to Victim

Law enforcement sources indicate the woman is known to Buckingham, 76, from previous incidents. Authorities believe she intentionally discovered the location and timing of his appointment to carry out the attack.
