A 25-year-old Lebanon City woman, Melanie Perez, was arrested on Tuesday following an alleged assault with a hammer. According to the Lebanon City Police Department, Perez has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

Police report that Perez, along with two other women, approached a vehicle at the intersection of Locust and Cherry Streets, attempting to instigate a confrontation. Perez allegedly struck the vehicle's occupant in the head with a hammer through an open window. She is also accused of removing the vehicle’s license plate.
