Lala Kent Addresses Potential Family Connection

The Valley’s Lala Kent is processing the surprising possibility that Luke Broderick could be the sperm donor for her daughter, Sosa. Kent expressed her shock, noting the physical resemblance between the two. “Do they not look identical? They look so much alike,” she shared with Us Weekly while celebrating season 3 of The Valley.

Luke Broderick Confirms Past Sperm Donation

The revelation came during the Wednesday, April 1, episode of Bravo’s The Valley. Luke confirmed he donated sperm while in college. “My senior year of college, I donated sperm to the same sperm bank that Lala used to conceive Sosa,” he stated on the show.

Lala's Initial Reaction and Concerns

Lala responded with disbelief, saying, “I did not have on my bingo card that he would say he’s been a sperm donor at the same cryo bank I got Sosa from. So now Kristen is Sosa’s stepmom. Oh f*** no.” She recalled selecting a donor from a “new batch” and securing all available samples, believing it was a unique genetic source.

A Potential Nightmare Scenario

“I got a call from the cryo bank. 'Hey, this amazing donor just hit,’ and I snatched up all the goods,” Kent explained. “My donor is a one-family unit, so once it's purchased, it's gone. Could you imagine? What I tried to avoid and now he's just in front of me every day of my life. That would be my worst nightmare.”

Uncertainty Remains for Both Parties

Despite the shocking coincidence, both Kent and Broderick admit they don’t definitively know if he is Sosa’s donor. Luke explained that he signed a waiver relinquishing his right to know who used his donation. “You know, we sign a form. I cannot speak on this,” he said. “Well, actually, I can speak on it because I actually don't know. I gave up the right to know.”

Respecting Sosa's Future Choice

Broderick added, “So, if she chose to send my swimmers upstream, then Sosa can find out one day if she wants to know.” He emphasized the importance of allowing Sosa to decide if she wants to learn the truth about her biological father. “If she doesn’t want to know, we got to let her grow up. I mean, Lala chose this route. I think it’s only fair to Sosa that she gets to make that decision.”

Cast Members React to the News

The news has left other cast members stunned. Danny Booko told Us Weekly, “This is blowing my mind… I was like, I totally forgot about this. When I saw it again, I was like, ‘This is insane.’ I need to know.”
