Former Royal Stylist Natasha Archer Launches New Venture
Natasha Archer, known for styling the Princess of Wales for nearly 15 years, has officially announced the launch of her own style consulting agency. Archer will serve as both the founder and creative director of the new firm.
Earlier this week, Archer shared the news via Instagram, marking the beginning of a new professional chapter. She stated, “After almost two decades working within private households, I’m delighted to begin this new chapter.”
Bespoke Advisory Services Offered
The new agency will offer highly personalized services focusing on wardrobe management and personal presentation. Archer plans to provide "discreet, bespoke advisory services for those seeking considered guidance across wardrobe, personal presentation, creative direction, and the finer details that shape important moments," according to her announcement.
While specific operational details remain scarce, the agency has teased further information, noting that more will be revealed on April 2. The announcement included a new logo alongside a black-and-white portrait of Archer.
Mission of Precision and Assurance
Archer further elaborated on her agency’s ethos in a separate Instagram post detailing the mission statement. The firm aims to help clients present themselves with "confidence and complete assurance."
The statement emphasized the firm's approach: “Through precision and refinement, we shape the details so that every impression feels effortless, assured and entirely seamless.” This promise reflects the meticulous style Archer cultivated for the Princess of Wales.
Archer's Tenure with the Princess of Wales
Archer began her career at Kensington Palace as a personal assistant before being entrusted with dressing Catherine, Princess of Wales, for major royal engagements. She was instrumental in selecting gowns from designers like Alice Temperley and Jenny Packham.
Following Archer’s amicable departure, the Princess of Wales appears focused on shifting public attention toward her work rather than her attire. Author Claudia Joseph noted this shift in an interview with Katie Nicholl of Vanity Fair last fall.
A Shift in Royal Focus
Joseph explained that the palace’s decision earlier this year not to comment on the Princess’s outfits was significant. “Her intention is to have the focus on her work and on comfort over anything else,” Joseph stated, pointing to the adoption of elegant trouser suits over highly eye-catching dresses.
Archer typically remained out of the public eye, occasionally captured in candid photos or during rare appearances like Royal Ascot. Now, the focus shifts to Archer herself as her new agency potentially attracts high-profile clientele.
