Jets Breece Hall Week to Week with Quad Injury, Doubtful for Bears Game Jets running back Breece Hall and four other players are considered week to week and missed Wednesday practice, making them unlikely to play Sunday at Chicago. New York Jets running back Breece Hall did not practice Wednesday and is considered week to week with a quadriceps injury, making him unlikely to play Sunday at Chicago. Jets Injury Report Hall Week To WeekCoach Aaron Glenn said Hall and four others are week to week, which typically means they will not be available this week. Hall was hurt early in the fourth quarter of New York's 31-24 loss at Detroit last Sunday when he went down while being forced out of bounds after running for no gain. He was held to just 32 yards on 13 carries against the Lions. The Jets' leading rusher is expected to miss the game against the Bears. In addition to Hall, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell (finger), tight end Mason Taylor (thumb), left guard Dylan Parham (knee) and linebacker Kiko Mauigoa (quadriceps) also missed practice Wednesday and are considered week to week. Mitchell and Taylor missed the Lions game, while Hall and Parham went down during the game. Parham was hurt in the third quarter against Detroit during a sack of Geno Smith. He was replaced by Landon Meredith, who could start again Sunday at Chicago. The Jets will also have to lean on Garrett Wilson and Kenyon Sadiq again with Mitchell sidelined. Sadiq popped up on the injury report Wednesday and was limited in practice, but Glenn did not sound concerned. With Hall out, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis should get a heavier workload in the Jets' backfield. Allen has 61 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries this season while serving as Hall's primary backup.Allen Davis Backfield Workload IncreaseThe third-year running back played in just four games last season after suffering a knee injury, but has shown he is now fully healthy. Davis, also in his third season, missed a large part of training camp with a knee injury. He has no carries or catches this season while playing only on special teams during the first three games. He is going to get his shot, Glenn said.I have always said with those three guys, man, listen, I am good with any of them and they will go out there and make plays for us. Hall, signed to a three-year contract extension worth up to $45.75 million in May, had 102 yards and a touchdown in the season opener at Tennessee and ran for 29 yards against Green Bay in Week 2.In positive injury news, Glenn said safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was expected to be limited at practice Wednesday and has a chance to play Sunday after injuring his groin early in the season opener. Fitzpatrick, who had sat out practice since the injury, has been replaced the past two weeks by Andre Cisco.Fitzpatrick Ruckert Nwangwu Practice Status UpdateTight end Jeremy Ruckert and running back/kick returner Kene Nwangwu, who has a back injury, are also expected to be limited, but Glenn was optimistic about all of their chances of playing. Left tackle Olu Fashanu had a rough day in Detroit on Sunday. He was charged with allowing 2 1/2 sacks. Glenn gave him a vote of confidence Wednesday.Listen, we have all the trust in the world in Olu, Glenn said. Here is the reason why, I go back to the offseason and the work that he put in. I go back to watch how him and Armand Membou, how they attacked this offseason. These games are not easy. There is no excuse at all. He knows that he has to protect better and that goes for everybody else on the offensive line. I have all the confidence in the world in that player, and he will do a good job for us. With Parham out and the offensive line struggling, the Jets signed center Nick Dawkins, son of the late NBA star Darryl Dawkins, to the practice squad on Tuesday.Nick Dawkins Signed Practice SquadThe younger Dawkins was signed by Baltimore in the spring as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State, where he was teammates for two seasons with current Jets left tackle Olu Fashanu. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Dawkins was released by the Ravens as part of their final roster cuts in August. According to Dawkins' Penn State bio, Pro Football Hall of Famer Brian Dawkins is a cousin, as is Karl-Anthony Towns of the defending NBA champion New York Knicks.
