Jen Shah, former star of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” has publicly addressed her actions for the first time since her release from a three-year federal prison sentence. Shah expressed “deep remorse” for her involvement in a nationwide telemarketing scheme.

Shah’s Statement and Arrest

“I should have done things differently. I should have been more diligent. I am deeply remorseful and sorry for my actions and my part. I take full responsibility,” Shah stated on Wednesday. The 52-year-old was arrested in March 2021, while filming the Bravo reality TV show, for defrauding the elderly.

Details of the Scam

The telemarketing scam spanned nine years and victimized over 1,000 people, generating millions of dollars. Shah was initially sentenced to 6.5 years in prison but received an early release in December 2025. She will complete the remainder of her sentence under house arrest.

Circumstances and Regret

Shah claimed she was unaware of the full extent of the operation when she became involved. “I thought I was doing the right thing for the majority of the time. I was working under people who were running these companies,” she explained. She also cited personal hardships, including a separation, the deaths of family members, and struggles with alcohol, as occurring during her involvement.

Future on Bravo and Other News
