Israel Launches Extensive Strikes Against Iranian Regime
The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has carried out strikes on approximately 400 targets connected to the Iranian regime over the last two days. This action, dubbed “Operation Roaring Lion,” began with an aerial phase called “Genesis,” described as the most significant air operation undertaken to date.
Munitions Deployed and Targets Hit
During the 48-hour period, the IAF dropped around 650 munitions. Targets included roughly 15 weapons manufacturing sites, and a central complex belonging to the Iranian Ministry of Defense. This complex housed facilities for the production and development of missiles intended for aircraft launches.
Mobile Command Centers Targeted
Israeli military officials reported identifying the relocation of Iranian command centers into mobile units. At least one such mobile command unit was successfully targeted during the operation. A ballistic missile storage site in the Tabriz area was also struck.
Operational Support and Impact
The missions were supported by IAF tanker aircraft, which conducted approximately 2,000 aerial refuelings. According to reports, Iranian naval and air forces have remained largely inactive, and their air and missile defense systems have been significantly degraded. “We don’t see their navy sailing. We don’t see their aircraft flying, and their air and missile defense systems have largely been destroyed,” a military source stated.
Focus of the Strikes
The completed strikes are part of a phase focused on deepening damage to the core systems and foundations of the Iranian regime’s military infrastructure. The operation continues to target infrastructure within Iran, including sites in the heart of Tehran.
