Marjorie Taylor Greene's Reaction to Trump's Speech

Former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene responded to President Donald Trump’s address to the nation, stating that all she heard was “war.” Greene shared her reaction on X (formerly Twitter) Wednesday night, expressing disappointment with the content of the speech.

Criticism of Speech's Focus

“I wanted so much for President Trump to put America First,” Greene wrote. “That’s what I believed he would do. All I heard from his speech tonight was WAR WAR WAR.”

Concerns Over Domestic Policy

Greene further elaborated on her concerns, stating the speech lacked attention to critical domestic issues. She specifically mentioned the national debt, Social Security, healthcare costs, job creation, and education as areas that were not addressed. “Nothing to reduce our near $40 trillion in debt,” she wrote. “Nothing to save Social Security, which goes bankrupt in just a few years. Nothing to lower the cost of insurance. Nothing to address jobs for Americans. Nothing about education for our children. Nothing about our children’s future.”

Call for Peace and Prayer

Despite her criticism, Greene concluded her post with a message of prayer. “I pray for our military and their families,” she wrote. “I pray for innocent people all over the world. I pray for peace and prosperity.”
