Investigation Leads to Arrest in Grand Bay
Bryce Conner Kloeckener of Grand Bay has been taken into custody on five counts of Unlawful Possession of Child Pornography. The arrest followed the execution of a residential search warrant by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) ICAC Unit and the Special Operations Unit.
The operation took place on March 31, 2026. Authorities initiated the investigation after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Understanding the ICAC Task Force
The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force is a national network comprising 61 coordinated task forces. It represents more than 5,400 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
These agencies focus on the following core objectives:
- Investigating internet crimes against children.
- Prosecuting offenders involved in these crimes.
- Developing effective responses to digital threats against minors.
- Delivering public awareness and prevention programs to educate the community.
MCSO ICAC Unit Performance
Sheriff Burch established the local ICAC unit upon taking office in 2023. Since its inception, the unit has been highly active in tracking digital threats within the region.
The unit has processed 1,055 cyber tips to date. These investigations have successfully resulted in 475 felony charges and 68 federal indictments.
