PlayStation Launches Free-to-Play RPG

PlayStation 5 users now have access to a substantial new RPG without needing a PlayStation Plus subscription. The game, Arknights: Endfield, is available to download and play at no cost.

This new RPG offers a significant amount of content. According to How Long To Beat, players can expect around 49 hours of gameplay focusing solely on the main story. However, completionists can anticipate spending approximately 138 hours exploring everything the game has to offer, with more content planned through future updates.

Inspired by a Popular Mobile Game

Arknights: Endfield is based on the world of the 2019 mobile tower defense game, Arknights, which also has a popular anime adaptation. The game may appeal to fans of titles like Genshin Impact.

Optimized for PlayStation 5

Developer Hypergryph specifically designed Arknights: Endfield with the PlayStation 5 in mind. The game utilizes the DualSense controller’s features, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, the built-in speaker, and light bar effects. It also supports 3D Audio and Activities integration for the main story.
