Dodge Celebrates America’s Semi-Quincentennial

Dodge is marking America’s 250th anniversary with a special edition of its Durango SUV. The 2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 was unveiled at the New York Auto Show as part of a partnership with America250, the organization overseeing the nation’s semi-quincentennial celebration.

Patriotic Design Inside and Out

The Durango America250 features a range of cosmetic upgrades designed to evoke American patriotism. For the first time, the Durango GT is equipped with Black Laguna leather seats, previously reserved for higher trim levels. These seats boast blue perforated inserts, embossed American flags, and red-and-white stitching.

Interior Details

  • Red, white, and blue stitched steering wheel
  • Demonic Red seat belts
  • Forged carbon-fiber trim

Exterior Styling

Exterior enhancements include star-pattern dual stripes with blue tracer accents and America250 fender decals. The SUV rides on 20-inch Black Noise wheels. The patriotic treatment is particularly striking on White Knuckle-painted models, where the stripe package is exclusive.

Buyers can also choose from Red Oxide, Night Moves blue, Destroyer Gray, or Diamond Black exterior colors.

Powertrain Options

Underneath the patriotic exterior, the Durango America250 retains the familiar powertrain options. The base GT Plus AWD model features Dodge’s 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, producing 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.

V8 Availability

For those seeking more power, the GT HEMI Plus and GT HEMI Premium models are available with a 5.7-liter V8 engine, delivering 360 horsepower. Notably, the V8-powered GT HEMI Plus starts at $51,270, only $1,680 more than the V6 model, which begins at $49,590.

Order Availability

Orders for the 2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 open in early April. Despite the Durango’s age, Dodge continues to release special editions of the SUV.
