Kansas City Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach is remaining tight-lipped about whether he’s received an invitation to the highly anticipated wedding of tight end Travis Kelce and singer Taylor Swift.
Veach Dodges Wedding Questions
During an appearance on ESPN’s ‘The Schrager Hour’ podcast at the NFL meetings in Arizona, Veach skillfully sidestepped direct questions about the wedding. “We’ll see,” Veach responded. “Couldn’t say either way.”
Focus Remains on the NFL Draft
Veach quickly redirected the conversation back to the upcoming NFL Draft, emphasizing his priority is team preparation. He jokingly stated that he would rather discuss draft picks than wedding details. “Off the record, you can ask me who we’re picking nine. I’m going to tell you who we’re picking nine. I cannot disclose anything about the wedding,” he said.
Kelce and Swift’s Engagement and Wedding Plans
Kelce and Swift announced their engagement in August 2025 with a joint Instagram post, playfully captioning photos with, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Reports indicate the couple plans to marry on June 13 in Rhode Island.
Kelce’s Return to the Chiefs
Last month, Travis Kelce agreed to a deal to return to the Chiefs for his 14th season. “I’m still in love with this game. I still love going to work and putting on the pads, grinding it out and just playing the game,” Kelce shared on ‘The Pat McAfee Show.’
Veach Optimistic About Kelce’s Future
At the NFL Scouting Combine in February, Veach expressed optimism about Kelce’s continued career with the team, calling him an “icon.” He acknowledged Kelce has “a lot going on” with his upcoming marriage and other commitments. “Travis is the best,” Veach said in Indianapolis. “He’s an icon, and hopefully he comes back.”
The Chiefs’ decade-long playoff streak ended last season, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Week 15.
