'Summer House' Star's Past Remark Resurfaces

Summer House alum Danielle Olivera referred to Amanda Batula as a “curveball” in a clip from 2022, prior to the recent news of Batula’s relationship with West Wilson. Amanda Batula, 34, and West Wilson, 31, publicly confirmed their romantic relationship on Tuesday, March 31st, sparking significant reaction from fans.

The 'Stir the Pot' Game

The resurfaced footage stems from a 2022 episode of Summer House where the cast played a game called “Stir the Pot.” The game involved drawing cards and playfully “roasting” fellow cast members. Danielle, 37, drew a card requiring her to identify the biggest “curveball” within the group.

Danielle's Explanation

“I’ve thought about it, and I think in the ‘curveball, I can’t see what’s coming’ sense, I’m going to go with Amanda,” Danielle stated in the clip. Amanda appeared visibly surprised by the comment, responding with a shocked, “Wait, what?”

Lindsay Hubbard was also shown seemingly agreeing with Danielle’s assessment. Danielle further explained, “Can’t see what’s coming.” Amanda then questioned, “I’m a curveball, you can’t trust me?”

Recent Relationship and Split

At the time the clip was filmed, Amanda was married to Kyle Cooke. Amanda and Kyle, 43, announced their separation in January after four years of marriage. Following the announcement, rumors began circulating that Amanda had started a relationship with Ciara Miller’s ex-boyfriend, West Wilson.

Confirmation and Statement

Amanda and West confirmed their relationship in a statement released on Tuesday. “We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” they explained.

They continued, “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.” They emphasized that their connection “grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship.”

Addressing the Situation

Several Summer House stars have publicly reacted to the news. Danielle posted a screenshot from the show displaying her shocked expression. Amanda and West concluded their statement by stating their “feelings evolved” and they needed time to understand them.

“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this,” they added.
