Caviar Unveils $21,340 Sterling Silver iPhone Duo Caviar has launched a Liquid Metal iPhone Duo made of sterling silver, priced up to $21,340, far exceeding Apple's most expensive iPhone. Luxury company Caviar has created a custom version of Apple's most expensive iPhone, the iPhone Duo, crafted entirely from sterling silver and priced at up to $21,340 (£16,084.49). The device, called Liquid Metal, was revealed earlier this month and is limited to just 17 pieces worldwide. Liquid Metal iPhone Duo DesignCaviar says it was inspired to create the Liquid Metal version after seeing the way the iPhone Duo folds open. The design continues the idea of transformation embodied by the foldable iPhone Duo, turning the smartphone into a seamless metallic composition. The company explained that fluid sculptural lines emphasize its new form factor and create a sense of continuous motion, as if the surface itself transforms together with the device. The surface evokes metal frozen in motion, while shifting reflections enhance the depth and fluidity of the form.In terms of materials, Caviar decided on sterling silver with a mirror finish. It added that sterling silver is shaped into a sculptural relief and finished with a mirror polish. The Liquid Metal iPhone Duo is available in four storage versions. The 256GB version is $18,840 (£14,203.76), the 512GB version is $19,200 (£14,475.17), and the 1TB version is $19,910 (£15,010.45). The most expensive option, the 2TB version, comes in at $21,340 (£16,084.49).Caviar Luxury Versions for Apple FlagshipsCaviar has also given the luxury treatment to Apple's flagship devices, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The company has 76 custom versions of these devices ranging in price from $7,130 (£5,375.41) to $88,290 (£66,563.16).At the higher end, there is the Palmette 18K, which has an Art Deco design crafted from 18K gold and diamonds. Caviar explained that the body is crafted from 18K gold and decorated with a palm-leaf motif, a tribute to the iconic palms of the United Arab Emirates.More than one hundred hand-set diamonds illuminate the ornament, while the Apple logo, adorned with precious stones, emphasizes the purity of form and harmony of proportions.Apple iPhone Duo Pricing and ContextApple's iPhone Duo was revealed earlier this month as the company's most expensive iPhone. In the UK, it costs between £1,999 and £3,199. This makes it even pricier than Apple's latest flagships, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, which start at £1,199.The iPhone Duo is a foldable device, representing a new form factor for Apple. Caviar's custom version builds on this design, turning it into a luxury item aimed at collectors and affluent buyers. This is not the first time Caviar has launched unusual versions of Apple products.
