‘Bob’s Burgers’ Star Involved in Fiery Crash
Eugene Mirman, the voice actor behind Gene Belcher on the animated series “Bob’s Burgers,” was hospitalized on Tuesday following a serious car accident at a New Hampshire toll booth. The incident occurred at the Bedford Toll Plaza on the Everett Turnpike in Bedford, New Hampshire.
Details of the Accident
New Hampshire State Police responded to the crash involving a 2026 Lucid Gravity just before noon on Tuesday. Mirman, identified by police as 51-year-old Yevgeny Mirman of Massachusetts, sustained “serious injuries” and was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
Heroic Rescue by State Trooper
A state trooper assigned to Governor Kelly Ayotte’s security detail was first on the scene. The trooper bravely pulled Mirman from the burning car through a window, according to state police. “Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did,” said State Police Col. Mark Hall. “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”
Mirman’s Recovery and Gratitude
Publicist Sheila Kenny released a statement to NBC Boston stating, “Eugene was in a very scary car accident.” Kenny added that Mirman is “grateful to be on the mend” and expressed his thanks to the bystanders, state police, first responders, and hospital staff who aided in his rescue.
The family has requested privacy as Mirman focuses on recovering from his injuries.
