Eugene Mirman, the voice actor best known for portraying Gene Belcher on the animated series ‘Bob’s Burgers,’ was seriously injured in a car crash on Tuesday. The incident occurred just before noon at the Bedford Toll Plaza in New Hampshire when his electric vehicle collided with the structure and subsequently caught fire.
Dramatic Rescue by Governor’s Detail
According to New Hampshire State Police, a trooper assigned to protect Governor Kelly Ayotte, along with two bystanders, bravely pulled Mirman from the burning vehicle through a window. Governor Ayotte herself exited her vehicle and used a fire extinguisher at the scene, but was not in any danger.

State Police Colonel Mark Hall praised the quick actions of those involved. “Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it,” Hall stated. The crash involved a northbound electric vehicle striking the toll plaza.
