Atlanta Falcons Strengthen Front Office with Key Hire

The Atlanta Falcons announced on Wednesday the hiring of Jeff Scott as Assistant General Manager. Scott joins the Falcons after five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, most recently serving as Vice President of Football Operations.

Familiarity and High Praise from Falcons GM

Falcons General Manager Terry Fontenot previously worked with Scott at the Eagles from 2017 to 2021. Fontenot emphasized the importance of existing relationships in the NFL and expressed gratitude to the Eagles organization for allowing Scott to pursue this opportunity.

Additional Player Moves Announced

In addition to the front office addition, the Falcons also made moves to bolster their roster on Wednesday. Cornerback Darnay Holmes and outside linebacker DeAngelo Malone were both signed.

Holmes Brings NFL Experience

Darnay Holmes, who has 12 starts in 83 career games, joins the Falcons after spending the past two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. Prior to that, he played four seasons with the New York Giants.

Malone Re-Signs with Atlanta

DeAngelo Malone, a third-round pick by the Falcons in 2022, has been re-signed. He has recorded three sacks and one interception in 58 games over four seasons with Atlanta.
