Actor Alec Baldwin has secured his first major film role since the highly publicized events surrounding the Rust production in 2021. The 67-year-old Academy Award nominee is officially joining the cast of the upcoming movie adaptation titled Kockroach.

Jonathan Ames, known for his work on You Were Never Really Here, wrote the screenplay. Director Matt Ross contributed several revisions to the script before finalization.

Andrew Lazar and Christina Weiss Lurie are handling the producing responsibilities for the project. John Friedberg of Black Bear and Vanessa Humphrey of Mad Chance are serving as executive producers.

The confirmed cast for Kockroach currently includes Chris Hemsworth, Alec Baldwin, Taron Egerton, and Zazie Beetz.

Context of Baldwin's Return to Major Roles
