Fans of the teen crime thriller A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder have eagerly awaited news about a second season. Based on Holly Jackson’s popular young adult novel, the series initially premiered in the UK and Ireland on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer in the summer of 2024 before becoming available globally on Netflix on August 1, 2024.
Release Date and Where to Watch
Netflix officially announced on April 1, 2026, that Season 2 will premiere on May 27, 2026. The series will be available globally on Netflix, with the exception of the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand, where it will air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. Season 2 will consist of six 45-minute episodes.
Season 2 Renewal and Creative Team
The renewal for a second season was confirmed on November 20, 2024. Notably, Holly Jackson, the author of the original novel series, joined the writing team alongside Poppy Cogan. “I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show!” Jackson shared in a statement. Cogan added, “I’m delighted to be back in Little Kilton with Pip and friends for season two.”
Plot Details: Good Girl, Bad Blood
Season 2 will be based on Jackson’s sequel, Good Girl, Bad Blood. The story picks up immediately after Pip Fitz-Amobi solves the Andie Bell case. Initially wanting to avoid further investigations, Pip is drawn back into a mystery when a witness in the Max Hastings trial disappears. According to Netflix, “This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the 'good girl' she once was.”

Netflix’s official logline for the season reads: “After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip is determined to fix the fallout—and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings's trial approaches, Connor’s brother Jamie suddenly disappears, and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him.”
