While on the ground, Carpenter attempted a low-percentage leglock. The round ended with Ochoa landing a jab and a front kick to the jaw. Judge Tristen Critchfield scored the round 10-9 for Ochoa.

Ochoa pinned Carpenter against the wall, unloading a steady stream of strikes. While Carpenter attempted to counter and briefly took Ochoa's back in a standing position, Ochoa managed to shimmy away.
Resilience Amidst the Storm
Carpenter found brief success with an overhand right and a left hand upstairs. However, Ochoa responded with a powerful jab that snapped Carpenter's head back, followed by a kick directly to the face.
Ochoa continued to puzzle Carpenter by mixing head and body shots, eventually landing a spinning elbow. Despite the heavy damage, Carpenter remained durable and refused to be put down, with both fighters trading strikes until the bell. Tristen Critchfield again scored the round 10-9 for Ochoa.
