British passengers evacuated from the Hantavirus-infected MV Hondius cruise ship have entered quarantine at Arrowe Park Hospital near Liverpool, the same facility that housed the UK's first Covid-19 patients.

Some 22 passengers are now facing six weeks of self-isolation after landing in Manchester on a chartered Titan Airways flight from Tenerife. The group escaped the cruise ship after a passenger tested positive for Hantavirus.

Global Concerns and Symptoms

Concern is growing worldwide as more passengers from the ship have been diagnosed with the disease. Among the 17 Americans evacuated, one tested positive for Hantavirus, while another developed mild symptoms.

Isolation and Testing Procedures

The passengers will spend 72 hours in specialized self-isolation apartments, undergoing clinical assessments and testing. Strict infection control measures were maintained throughout their journey to the UK.
