Rafel, a local resident, has broken his silence for the first time since the tragic death of TOWIE star and fashion designer Jake Hall in Majorca.
The incident occurred at an Airbnb located in the sleepy village of Santa Margalida, where the 35-year-old had been renting a home for the summer.
The Fatal Incident in Santa Margalida
Following a night out in Palma on Tuesday night, Hall had invited five friends—two men and three women—back to the villa for a small after-party, playing music until the morning.
While a neighbor observed the party continuing with the lights on at approximately 6:30 am, the situation changed drastically shortly after.
At 7:15 am, a loud crash and the sound of glass smashing were heard by those in the vicinity.
A Hero's Attempt to Save a Life
Rafel, a local construction worker living directly opposite the property, was heading to work when he heard cries for help from a group of young women in their twenties standing in the street.
Upon rushing to the scene, he discovered Hall lying topless on the patio floor with various cuts and a large shard of glass in his neck.
Rafel attempted to perform CPR, but the father-of-one had sadly already passed away.
Witness Accounts and Investigation
According to a witness, it appears the accident may have occurred when Hall attempted to run through a door that he believed was open.
While the incident is currently being treated as an accident, an autopsy will be conducted to confirm if alcohol or potential drug use played a role in the tragedy.
Rafel noted that the group of well-dressed young people appeared nervous and upset, though they did not seem to be under the influence of drugs.
He also observed that the group was primarily Spanish-speaking and noted that Santa Margalida is a quiet village that rarely sees British visitors and is definitely not a party town.
