Hasbro is introducing 6-inch collectibles of Havok and Polaris to the X-Men '97 Marvel Legends collection. Pre-orders open October 21, and the items are expected to ship in late 2026.
The October 21 pre-order window for Polaris and Havok
Hasbro has scheduled the pre-order launch for its new X-Men '97 figures to begin at 1 p.m. Eastern Time on October 21. According to the report, these 6-inch figures will be available through Amazon, Hasbro Pulse, and various other major online retailers. While the buzz is immediate, the actual physical release is not slated until the fall of 2026.
This extended lead time suggests a strategic approach to production and distribution. By announcing the figures now but delaying the release, Hasbro can manage collector demand and ensure that the market remains balanced, as reported by the source.
Green hair and electromagnetic effects: The Polaris detail
The new Polaris figure is designed to be a faithful recreation of the character's appearance in the 1990s animated series. The figure features her signature green hair and the 'X' emblem on her chest, reflecting her role as the daughter of Magneto and a member of the X-Factor team.
To enhance playability, Hasbro is including two alternate hands and two specific accessory pieces that simulate electromagnetic power effects. The packaging is also a key feature, utilizing high-definition graphics that match the aesthetic of Season 2 of the X-Men '97 show, presented in a clear, carded container.
NYCC 2026 and the strategy of mirroring the X-Men '97 roster
The unveiling of these figures took place during New York Comic Con 2026, where Hasbro used the event to showcase the detailed articulation of the new wave. This move is part of a broader effort by Hasbro to create a comprehensive physical roster that mirrors the character lineup seen in the television series.
This trend of "nostalgia-driven" product lines is a recurring theme in the modern toy industry. By bridging the gap between 1990s lore and contemporary manufacturing standards,Hasbro is targeting both seasoned collectors who remember the original Cartoon Network era and new fans who have discovered the franchise through recent streaming revivals.
Saesee Tiin and Agen Kolar join the Star Wars Black Series
Beyond the Marvel universe, Hasbro is also expanding its Star Wars: The Black Series. The company announced that a figure of Saesee Tiin will be available for pre-order on October 29, alongside the introduction of an Agen Kolar figure.
These Star Wars releases follow the same technical specifications as the Marvel Legends line, featuring a 6-inch scale and premium construction. This dual-track announcement demonstrates Hasbro's intent to maintain simultaneous momentum across its two most powerful licensed franchises.
The missing price points for the 6-inch Marvel Legends
Despite the detailed specifications regarding articulation and accessories, several key pieces of information remain unavailable. Specifically, the report does not mention the retail price for the Polaris and Havok figures, nor does it clarify if other characters will be added to this specific wave before the 2026 release.
Additionally, while the source highlights the "limited production run" typical of these special editions, it does not provide specific quantity estimates, leaving collectors to guess how competitive the October 21 pre-order window will actually be.
