Premiere and Studio Appearance

Anne Hathaway, Simone Ashley, Stanley Tucci, and Caleb Hearon, the leading stars of the highly anticipated sequel, participated in an interview with Gary Davies, host of the Breakfast Show. The appearance followed a busy Wednesday that included the European premiere in Leicester Square and a gala reception at the National Portrait Gallery.

A Look at the Sequel

Set two decades after the original, The Devil Wears Prada 2 explores the changing fashion industry and the challenges faced by Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. The storyline focuses on Miranda’s efforts to stay relevant as print media declines and her dynamic with Emily Blunt’s character, Emily.

New and Returning Faces

Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, returns to Runway magazine to help revitalize the publication, leading the cast on a journey from New York to Milan. The film also features Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, and Lucy Liu.

Positive Early Reviews

Despite a review embargo until April 29th, early reactions to the film have been overwhelmingly positive. Alex Weprin of The Hollywood Reporter called it “a biting media parody wrapped up in high fashion.”

Jazz Tangcay of Variety declared the sequel “phenomenal” and “the perfect sequel that exceeded all expectations.” Anticipation is building for the May release.
