Sault College is preparing for a new chapter of student leadership with the incoming 2026-27 Student Council. The new team will officially take office on May 1, 2026.

A Smooth Transition of Leadership

The announcement follows the conclusion of the current Student Council’s term and marks a shift towards new ideas and a continued focus on improving student life. Outgoing Sault College Students’ Union (SCSU) President Isabella Fischer expressed strong optimism about the incoming council.

Fischer reflected on her own successful two-year term and voiced confidence in the new council’s ability to continue the positive momentum. She specifically praised the dedication of the SCSU staff, executives, and board members for their consistent support of students.

Priorities for the 2026-27 SCSU

The incoming SCSU board aims to build upon existing successes while also innovating to meet the evolving needs of students. This includes maintaining current services and proactively developing new solutions.

A key focus will be on fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity, ensuring all students feel valued and supported. The board plans to actively solicit student feedback to guide their decisions and ensure alignment with student priorities.
