A 15-year-old boy has been charged following a large fight in Southend on Friday evening that resulted in two teenagers sustaining injuries. The incident, involving approximately 30 people, prompted a significant police response and the implementation of dispersal orders.

The 15-year-old, from north London, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a class B drug. He is scheduled to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on June 22nd. Due to legal restrictions, his name has not been released.
Second Arrest and Bail
A 12-year-old girl from Southend was also arrested on Saturday, suspected of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and violent disorder. She has since been released on bail pending further investigation.

Essex Police implemented a dispersal order covering a large area of Southend, including the High Street, Queensway, Hamlet Court Road, and the seafront. This order, in effect until 8 pm on Sunday, allows officers to disperse individuals to prevent disturbances.
