The assault involved multiple suspects who fled the scene in two sport utility vehicles (SUVs) after an apparent attempt to steal the rapper's watch.

Following the shooting, the suspects fled in two Chevrolet SUVs: a matte gray Chevrolet Tahoe and a black Chevrolet Suburban. Initial reports indicate the black Suburban headed towards Hollywood, while the Tahoe traveled southbound towards Miami.
