Detectives are actively searching for a gunman who opened fire on a crowd in Brooklyn, resulting in the injury of an innocent bystander. The incident occurred on April 14 outside the Marlboro Houses in Gravesend.
Details of the Shooting
According to police sources, the shooting took place at approximately 8:50 p.m. on April 14 at 2249 Stillwell Ave. The suspect, who was involved in an argument with a group of individuals outside the NYCHA complex, pulled out a gun and began firing.
Injury to Bystander
Amid the chaos, a stray bullet grazed a 23-year-old woman in the left arm. Police confirmed that she was not the intended target of the shooting. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) treated the victim at the scene for her injuries.
Description of the Suspect
The gunman fled the scene after the shooting. Police described the suspect as wearing a black sweater, white T-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers. Surveillance images of the suspect have been released by the NYPD in hopes of identifying him.
